Community Impact and Development Manager

Yampa Valley REPS

REPS is a 501(c)(3) not-for profit organization whose mission is to preserve, protect, and
promote life by raising awareness and providing a lifeline of support and healing in our
community. REPS provides crisis support, education, training, prevention and postvention
support. REPS staff, Board of Directors, and skilled volunteers are dedicated to combating
suicide and breaking mental health stigma.
The Community Impact & Development Manager will be instrumental in leading REPS’
fundraising and donor engagement strategies including the planning and execution of
community events, managing communication and social media, and building partnerships with
local businesses and stakeholders. These efforts will be central in growing community support
for REPS and increasing awareness of suicide prevention resources and education. This is a
full-time position (32 hours/week) and reports to the Executive Director.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead fundraising and donor engagement strategies to grow community support,
strengthen donor relationships, and advance the mission, vision and values.
● Plan and execute community events that strengthen engagement, increase awareness of
REPS’ services, and support fundraising and outreach goals.
● Manage communications and social media to strengthen REPS’ visibility, engage the
community, and promote suicide prevention resources and education.
● Build partnerships with local businesses and stakeholders to expand community support,
strengthen collaboration, and advance REPS’ mission.
● Ensure strict adherence to confidentiality standards and regulatory compliance by
safeguarding sensitive information and consistently following all applicable policies,
procedures, and legal requirements.

● Develop and implement fundraising strategies, campaigns, and donor outreach efforts
that support REPS’ programs, services, and long-term sustainability.
● Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual donors, community partners, local
businesses, and stakeholders through consistent communication, stewardship, and
engagement.
● Establish and manage comprehensive event budgets, strategic goals, and timelines to
ensure successful program execution and alignment with organizational objectives.
● Track fundraising activities, donor engagement efforts, and campaign outcomes to
inform follow-up, reporting, and continuous improvement by utilizing Zeffy, Colorado
Gives, Google Sheets and other report generating platforms.
Plan and execute community events that strengthen engagement, increase awareness of REPS’
services, and support fundraising and outreach goals.
● Coordinate event logistics, timelines, vendors, volunteers, materials, and communication
to ensure community events are well-organized and mission aligned.
● Develop event outreach and promotion plans that increase community participation,
visibility, and awareness of REPS’ resources, programs, and services.
● Evaluate event outcomes, participant feedback, and engagement results to strengthen
future events and support fundraising and outreach goals.
Manage communications and social media to strengthen REPS’ visibility, engage the community,
and promote suicide prevention resources and education.
● Develop and manage clear, consistent communications across REPS’ website,
newsletters, social media, and community outreach channels.
● Create and schedule social media content that promotes REPS’ programs, events,
resources, and suicide prevention education in an engaging and mission-aligned way.
● Monitor communication and social media engagement to identify opportunities for
improving outreach, visibility, and community connection.
● Collaborate with the Support Services Director to maintain and update the provider
portal, counseling, and alternative therapy website pages, ensuring content accuracy
and accessibility.
Build partnerships with local businesses and stakeholders to expand community support,
strengthen collaboration, and advance REPS’ mission.
● Identify and cultivate relationships with local businesses, community organizations, local
nonprofits and key stakeholders that align with REPS’ mission and outreach goals.
● Develop partnership opportunities that support community education, event
participation, resource sharing, sponsorships, and collaborative outreach efforts.
● Coordinate and deliver 'Talk Saves Lives' and other suicide prevention educational
presentations to increase community awareness and outreach.
● Maintain ongoing communication with partners and stakeholders to strengthen trust,
coordinate shared initiatives, and sustain long-term community engagement.
● Assist with the administration, mentorship, and coordination of the Youth Internship
Program to support student development and organizational goals.
Ensure strict adherence to confidentiality standards and regulatory compliance by safeguarding
sensitive information and consistently following all applicable policies, procedures, and legal
requirements.
● Maintain accurate documentation of program activities, meetings, and presentations.
Regularly report progress to the Executive Director and assist with program evaluations.
● Ensure all activities comply with HIPAA and REPS confidentiality policies. Maintain strict
confidentiality when dealing with youth participants.
● Always maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and REPS
privacy policies.
● Develop and oversee all public-facing forms and documentation, ensuring compliance
with HIPAA standards while incorporating inclusive, accessible, and trauma-informed
language.

Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, psychology, public health, or a related field
is preferred.
● Experience in youth development, mental health education, or related fields preferred.
● Experience in fundraising, communications, event planning or nonprofit development.
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with leadership, stakeholders,
and community partners.
● Demonstrated ability to work proactively and independently while effectively overseeing
a diverse range of simultaneous projects.
● Proficiency in administering social media accounts and generating strategic digital
content that promotes organizational objectives.
● A commitment to acquiring technical expertise in the following operational platforms
(previous familiarity is preferred but not required):
o Zeffy for donor stewardship, fundraising, and targeted email outreach.
o Google Workspace for collaborative productivity.
o Squarespace for managing website content.
o Canva for creating marketing and design collateral.
o Telzio for organizational telephony requirements.
● Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism,
discretion, and sound judgment.
● LivingWorks START certification upon hire.
● QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) certification within 30 days of employment.
● Talk Saves Lives training within 30 days of employment.
● ASIST training as soon as training is scheduled/available.
● Clean driving record and proof of insurance.
